NETGEAR Strengthens Management Team, Names Ray Robidoux President
Industry veteran joins NETGEAR executive management team
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — August 12, 2002 — NETGEAR, Inc., a worldwide provider of easy-to-use, high performance networking products at prices affordable to homes and growing businesses, today announced that it has named Ray Robidoux its new President. In this newly created position, Ray is responsible for all sales, marketing, product management and R&D functions. He leads the company’s continuous success in building and maintaining channel relationships worldwide, expanding NETGEAR’s global brand awareness, and developing and delivering innovative products. Together with the CFO, Jonathan Mather and CTO, Mark Merrill, he reports to Patrick Lo, chairman and CEO.

Before joining NETGEAR, Ray was senior vice president and general manager of the networked attached storage division at Quantum, and prior to that, vice president of Compaq Computer’s North America Consumer Business Group, focused on sales, marketing and service.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University and a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
